Welcome! This is an official application site for processing concealed handgun permit related requests. All applications must be completed fully and accurately to avoid delays in processing. Any falsification of the information within these applications will result in the denial of the submission.

CHP application processing fees are non-refundable. In addition, an online service fee is required to process payment. These fees will be charged even if your application is denied. This service is provided by a third-party vendor and the Sheriff's Office only collects the fees stated in the Colorado General Statute.

You can only renew Colorado permits. Outside state permits are not accepted.

Password Information: In order to comply with CJIS standards we have employed the use of a password complexity monitor. As you enter your password, we will display an indicator of complexity. You will only be able to submit passwords that are sufficiently complex as to be considered 'safe' by CJIS standards. The visual indicator will turn Blue or Green to indicate that your password is safe.

Important: CJIS requires we maintain a strict password policy and system of checks. As such, we check the following items as you enter your new password:

You are expected to be checked in at the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Administration building located at 1331 N Cherokee St. Castle Rock, CO. 80109 at the time of your scheduled appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment you will NOT be seen and you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. Your appointment will be marked as a no-show appointment and you will be prompted to reschedule using Permitium. You will log into your Permitium account through your confirmation email using your order number and password that you had created at the time of making your original appointment. Once there you will be able to select from the available appointments.
